Seperti kebiasaan tanggal 31 Disember setiap tahun, dua majlis anugerah paling berprestij ini akan berlangsung serentak. . KBS Drama Awards 2019 telah dihoskan oleh Shin Hye Sun dan Jun Hyun Moo. Manakala SBS Drama Awards 2019 pula dihoskan oleh Jang Nara, dan Shin Dong Yup.

Seperti yang dijangka, Gong Hyo Jin menepati ramalan sebagai pemenang Daesang di KBS Drama Awards 2019 menerusi drama “When The Camelia Blooms.” Tidak salah percaturan Gong Hyo Jin yang begitu memilih karya yang terbaik untuk dirinya kembali semula ke dunia drama dalam tempoh 3 tahun. Aktres ini mula debut pada 1999 dengan membintangi sebuah filem.

Nampaknya watak Kim Hae Il membawa tuah kepada Kim Nam Gil yang telah memenangi Daesang pertamanya menerusi drama “The Fiery Priest” di SBS Drama Awards 2019.   Jadi, tidak sia-sia Kim Nam Gil berdepan kecederaan semasa menjalani pengambaran drama tersebut apabila hasilnya sesuatu yang tidak ternilai. Kim Nam Gil juga mula debut pada tahun 1999 dengan drama KBS “School 1”

Ini membuktikan Gong Hyo Jin dan Kim Nam Gil pelakon yang hebat serta sentiasa memberikan yang terbaik. Malah kedua-dua drama “When The Camellia Blooms” (KBS) dan “The Fiery Priest” (SBS) sentiasa mendapat tontonan yang baik. Anugerah Daesang ini pula adalah yang pertama kali buat kedua-dua pelakon ini selepas 20 tahun berkecimpung dalam industri lakonan.
