BTS set new record with title : ‘The Undisputed Quadruple Crowns of Album of The Year’

Yesterday marked the first time that BTS has completed their domination over winning the daesang: ‘Album of The Year’ for the fourth times in row with just ‘Love Yourself’ alone. To date, BTS has won ‘Album of The Year’ in 1st MBC Plus X Genie Music Awards , 10th Melon Music Awards , 20th Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) , and 33th Golden Disk Awards since the last October, therefore set new record with title : ‘The Undisputed Quadruple Crowns of Album of The Year’.

The previous record was held by EXO’s ‘Exodus’ in 2015 ended up with triple crowns. Their Album of The Year’s winning in Gaon Music Awards was not eligible as the award was shared by at least two or more recipients for every year.

‘Love Yourself’ spawn critically-acclaimed singles like ‘Fake Love’, ‘Idol’, and was also picked up by the Billboard’s critics in their list of ‘The 20 Best K-pop Albums of 2018’. However, it would be more fascinating if BTS might be able to secure their winning in the upcoming 16th Korean Music Awards, which was noted as the most prestigious award in Korea or a Grammy-equivalent, thus completing their domination over the ‘Album of The Year’ title with the same album.

Bravo, BTS!
